Herbal Consultations
All healing is self-healing and it is my belief that we as holders of herbal knowledge have the responsibility to be the removers of hindrances. It is our job to give guidance to bring a person who is out of balance back into balance.
When we meet I will learn all about you. By discovering your needs and goals we will work together as a team to bring you back what you truly desire; health, and happiness. I am merely an educator and do not make promises but I will do my best with the knowledge and experience I have to help you feel whole.
Our initial meeting will be an hour long. During this time I will get to know you and your goals. We will meet again 2 weeks later to go over your health plan and at this time we will discuss the supplements and herbs you will need in order to follow your plan. I recommend supplements that can be purchased at any health food store and if herbs are needed that can not be found at a store I will formulate them at an added fee. The cost of the herbal consultation covers both of these meetings. If follow-up consultations are needed they are $30 per hour afterwards.
About Me
I am so very happy to meet you. My name is Nicole Martinez and I am an educator first and foremost. I take no credit for your healing journey. If you smile brighter and make others happier I've done my job. I have worked in the realm of nutrition and herbal medicine for over 20 years. I started off as a clerk in a health food store and after 7 years became the manager and vitamin buyer for Boney's Bayside Market in Coronado. I took the opportunity I had of leadership in my community and learned from every teacher I could. Some of these teachers included John Finch and Jane Richmond at The Self Heal School of Herbal Medicine where I received my certificate in nutrition and herbal healing. I've also had the opportunity to learn from formulators of major supplement companies like Carlsons, Natural Factors, Whole World Botanicals, Boiron, Dr Hauschka, Weleda, Herb Pharm and more. I have had the pleasure of meeting and learning from people like Paul Stamets, Ric Scalzo, Susan Weed, Patricia Bragg, and others. All of these moments were magical and I feel the need to share the wisdom I've attained to help others. I currently teach first grade at Sparrow Academy a Waldorf Charter school because I believe health starts with education. Waldorf education views the whole child as a connected being and serves to bring health by removing hindrances.
