Your Spiritual Journey Awaits

Any herbalist or healer will tell you that to help others heal you must be a seeker of truth. You must be quiet, thoughtful and introspective. You must love, because all healing is self-healing through loving oneself. For some the journey to do this can be long, dark, fearful and fraught with doubt. Wounds are thick, sticky and yucky things to look at. Sometimes they need an unbiased eye to help with calling it out for what it is and bringing the demons into the light. Sometimes the healers come as friends, neighbors, co-workers, or family members and sometimes they come as plant allies.

When the plant allies show up they are the kindest, most generous and giving healers there are. They whisper to you in your dreams, they find you as you walk in the world and they offer endlessly their medicine. All they ask in return is that you love, and even this they will patiently wait for because that is how the natural world is. It is the Pachamama that is always giving love freely, a primal connection to who we are and have always been. This connection speaks to the chinks in our DNA that witnessed how spewing magma burst forth into the oceans forming our mother's backbone, how the warmth of the sun brought mist and life to our planet and how this life grew from the tiny uniform whole into wide waves of diversity in plants, animals and humans.

We are that, she whispers to us as all as her plant helpers hold onto wisdom that formed the earth. They offer that unifying wisdom in the way they sway in the breeze, shine brightly with spectrums of color, hold fiery warmth in their leaves and nourish us with their sweetness.
